Information Future Fellowship

The Information Future Fellowship is a novel opportunity for practitioners in public health, healthcare, community organizations, media, policy, design and other fields who are actively working on responses to the on-going information crisis.

Check, Please! Starter Course

Notion is a note-taking software that designed by Notion Labs to help members of companies and organizations manage their knowledge for greater efficiency and productivity. Notion offers a course called Check, Please! Starter Course on how to fact and source-check in five easy lessons. The entire online curriculum is two and a half to three hours and is suitable homework for the first week of a college-level module on disinformation or online information literacy, or the first few weeks of a course if assigned with other discipline-focused homework.

Making Sense of the News: News Literacy Lessons for Digital Citizens

Dr Masato Kajimoto is the Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong. He specializes in news literacy education, multimedia storytelling and social media in journalism. He provides six-week news literacy course on Coursera. The six-week course will help learners develop their critical thinking skills to enable them to better identify reliable information in news reports and to become better informed about the world in which we live. The course will discuss the key elements of journalism from the viewpoint of the news audience. The language of instruction is English, but Chinese and Spanish subtitles will be available.
