NORSYILA BINTI MAZLAN
SMK Tanjong Rambutan
Norsyila graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia and has been serving for 21 years as a teacher. She is passionate to learn and explore new things related to education. She gets satisfaction from sharing new ideas, knowledge and experiences with other educators as she believes the more you share, the better you become.
MOHD HILMI BAKAR
Universiti Teknologi MARA
Hilmi Bakar believes it is his job as an educator to inspire others. He teaches Digital Content Creation and Marketing and is certified as a Google Partner in Google Ads. Based in Melaka, he has had wonderful experiences working in the media (TV news channel) and telecommunication (Fraud Investigation) industries.

Matrix Global Schools
Nazatul Akhma believes firmly that more so than knowledge and skills, ethics is a more definitive feature of a proficient digital citizen. Based in Negeri Sembilan, she has been inculcating the love for STEM among preschool and primary children for many years.
SAHARAH ABDULLAH
SMK Jerai Saharah Abdullah loves to broaden her horizon and learn new teaching techniques to improve her pedagogical skills. Based in Kupang, Kedah, she has taken part in various programs abroad such as the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization’s (SEAMEO) language workshops in Singapore as well as the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement program in California, the United States.
EMILY NEOH GAIK KIN
Sri KDU Secondary School Emily Neoh values empirical evidence and linguistic nuances in unpacking concepts such as media literacy. She teaches upper secondary English and English for Science and Technology in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
NURUL AINI HANANI MOHD SAIDI
SMK Sungai Tiram Aini Hanani aims to make learning relatable and fun for students who struggle with English. Based in Johor, she is currently pursuing a PhD focusing on the Structure of Knowledge and Reading for Learning, In her spare time, she enjoys writing online novels when inspiration dawns and partaking in colouring activities.
FIZARIL AMZARI BIN OMAR
Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Fizaril Amzari considers himself to be an idealistic and optimistic individual who is motivated to share knowledge through his own unique approach. He loves drawing comics and creating games to add a dash of excitement and joy in learning, so long as the activities do not violate the boundaries set by the Syara'.
NOOR SYAZANA BINTI TAIB
SK Rumah Barat Noor Syazana teaches in a SKM (Sekolah Kurang Murid) in Subis, Sarawak with less than 50 students. She is the school’s GPM (Guru Perpustakaan dan Media) and is also an author for the history textbook used by Standard 4 students in the country. She was appointed as an Edufluencer by the Ministry of Education in 2019.
HAZWAN BIN HAMDAN
SABK Maahad Ehyak Dinniah Islamiah Hazwan Hamdan teaches English in a religious school in Perak. He has 11 years of teaching experience and is eager to share his knowledge on media literacy to teachers and students in Malaysia.
JESSICA CH'NG HUI TING
SJKC Kuen Cheng 1 Jessica Ch'ng holds a B.Ed TESOL from Victoria University of Wellington. She is a recipient of Victoria University of Wellington's English Speaking Union Award, an alumna of the American English E-Teacher Program, and a Director of Women Who Code Kuala Lumpur. She enjoys photography and misses travelling.
DR AINI MARINA MA'ROF
Universiti Putra Malaysia Aini Marina is an award-winning educational psychologist, teacher trainer, and educational researcher at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She teaches and conducts research in the cognitive sciences of teaching and learning. A hands-on mom, she collects words as a hobby and enjoys chocolate chip cookies, as should all right-thinking people.
KENN YEAP THIAM HOONG
Media and Communications Lecturer Kenn Yeap lectures on the various aspects of Communication and Media, specifically the practice of Public Relations in various colleges. He is a former radio producer, journalist, political aide and has experience working in the television industry. He considers himself a hardcore activist to promote media literacy education.
SHEE YUEN LING
SJKC New Kopisan Yuen Ling embraces lifelong learning as her life principle and she truly believes that to teach is to touch the soul. Based in Perak, she hopes to upskill herself to contribute and improve the quality of education in Malaysia. She is an edufluencer with the Ministry of Education, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) as was well as a recipient of the 2020 Guru Inspirasi McDonald award.
NUR RAWAIDAH RAHMAT
SM Pendidikan Khas Vokasional Merbok Rawaidah Rahmat teaches in a special TVET school in Kedah. She is the school’s GPM (Guru Perpustakaan dan Media) and actively involves herself in various innovation and STEM competitions. She is the recipient of various awards at the state and national level such as Ikon Guru Teknologi Pendidikan Negeri Kedah 2020, Ikon Inovasi MYRIS 2019, Ikon Guru Pendidikan Khas KMY 2019, and Penerima Khas Hari Inovasi KPM 2018.
CHOO LUI YIU
SMK Gedong Lui Yiu has 22 years of experience in education and she likes to take a no-nonsense approach in carrying out her duty as a teacher. Based in Sarawak, she is the HOD (Head of Department) for Science and Mathematics at her school as well as a district trainer for additional mathematics and mathematics. She is committed to her work and believes in the value of continuous lifelong learning.
Tina Loh
A video journalist specializing in producing breaking news, news features and mini documentaries with a passion. Tina has worked in NTV7 Mandarin News and is currently with TheStarTV.
Zan Azlee
Zan Azlee is a journalist, documentary filmmaker, writer and academician. He runs a boutique non-fiction media company, Fat Bidin Media, with his producing partner and wife, Sheril A. Bustaman.
Ardi Herman
Ardi is a News Editor, TV Producer and News Anchor of TV AlHijrah. With 10 years of experience as a Broadcast Journalist and a Producer, Ardi is currently the Head of Department, News & Current Affairs, TV AlHijrah.
Darshini Kandasamy
Darshini is an award-winning investigative journalist, freelance writer and editor. She is currently editor of Between The Lines newsletter and co-founder of the Malaysia Information Literacy Education (MILE) initiative, which works to bring media literacy skills and understanding to Malaysian youth.
Yeong Kah Choon
Yeong Kah Choon has been a journalist for 20 years. He started his career as a crime reporter and is now the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for China Press. He has previously worked with Singapore Press Holding and was a press secretary in the Transport Ministry of Malaysia.
Yiswaree Palansamy
Yiswaree Palansamy has 13 years of industry experience as a journalist in some of the nation's top news agencies: the New Straits Times (NST), The Malaysian Insider and The Rakyat Post. She is currently a Senior Correspondent of Malay Mail.
Norman Goh
Norman Goh is a freelance journalist and producer of 'Bicara Minggu Ini', a weekly podcast covering current affairs and politics in Malaysia. Norman was the social media editor of Malaysiakini and had also served in the government as the special functions officer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Kuek Ser Kuang Keng
Kuek is a data journalism trainer, consultant and a journalist. He is the founder of Data-N, a training program that helps journalists to integrate data journalism into daily reporting.
Chak Onn Lau
Chak is the founder of CILISOS.my - a news outlet which publishes articles and videos that are somehow irreverent, yet pragmatically data-driven - like its founder. Chak is also a voice-over artist in commercials you have probably seen before.
Rizal Zulkapli
Rizal Zulkapli is a business news editor for a 24-hour news channel in Malaysia, Astro AWANI. He is an avid learner and is a recipient of the University of Cambridge’s 2018 Wolfson Press Fellowship.
Wathshlah Naidu
Wathshlah Naidu is the Executive Director of the Centre for Independent Journalism, a Malaysian civil-society organisation that focuses on advocating for the freedom of expression, media freedom and right to information.
